Happy Birthday to Tracy!
My sweet little sister had her first birthday out of country today and we weren't able to celebrate with her. Even still, we love her and are SOOO proud of her and are so glad she was born on this day many moons ago!!!

Random Fun...
Before heading out of BCS one of our students stopped by with his new wheels. Ryan had to check them out. Unfortunately, McGregor did not care for the sound of them. It looks at this point as though we do not have a "cool rider" on our hands (ref. Michelle Pfieffer).
McGregor and Shelby stopped to pose for the camera in the middle of their tasty snack!
Mac has recently taken to hiding in cabinets and closets and then will jump out to surprise us. His new favorite game is hide and seek...he can remain very still and very quiet for an unusual amount of time--not just for him, but for any two year old!

BIG NEWS!!!
McGregor is going to be a BIG Brother! We are expecting our second child in the new year on January 24th! We are so thrilled and praise God for this little one growing in me! This past week Ryan and I went to the doctor to hear the heartbeat and saw our little bean! In conjunction with our exciting news, my sister Shelley is also due with her second baby just two weeks later. The cousin club is growing!!!

McGregor's Best Friend
Well...for those of you who have been faithfully checking our blog I do apologize! It has been a bit of a crazy month. We've been packing, moving, going to weddings, Ryan started his new job...etc. Needless to say things have been a bit hectic and I haven't been snapping pictures on a regular basis--partly because I didn't know where our camera was until just recently!
Any how, as you can see from the pictures, McGregor and his cousin Shelby (or "--elby" as Mac affectionately calls her) have been spending lots of quality time together and having been loving every minute of it...well...almost every minute of it (see below)!!! They really do love each other though. The other day McGregor had a tummy ache and in the midst of crying out in pain...he kept calling out for "--elby"! They love to give each other hugs and Mac will make the strangest noises to get her to laugh. Watch out boys...for those of you interested in little Shelby...you are going to have to go through both her father and her cousin!

Just for fun
Every now and then Ryan will put Mac in the passenger seat when backing out of the driveway and boy does McGregor think he is BIG stuff! His little buddy Peyton was over last time and they just thought they were somethin' else!
One of the many joys in watching my baby become a little boy is seeing him learn how to interact with his surroundings and learn how to help mommy with things around the house. As I was watering plants the other day, Mac decided he wanted to help and ended up watering not only the flower beds but the entire front of the house, with the roof to boot! He also enjoyed a little taste test from the 'fountain of youth'!

Aunt Aly, Aunt Linley and Cousin Charlie and Cousin Robert
Double the fun!
Mac was too into his book to stop and smile for the camera!
Baby Charlie so precious! Being with the two babies made me sad Mac is really no longer a baby...except when they started crying at night!
Trying to get everyone awake and happy for a picture together is asking too much!!! We did the best we could! We missed the other Charlotta gals and "their cousins"!

Ouch!!!
YES Mac dropped a can of sweetened condensed milk on his big toe. YES he cried all day. YES he started limping. (Hilarious!) YES he is going to lose his big toenail. YES he points to it everyday and says "Boo-Boo" but by this point he can no longer feel any pain so he gets mixed up on which toe he actually hurt and often times points to the wrong one!!!
Welcome to life with boys...the first of many Boo Boo's I have a feeling!
Brush, Brush Brush your teeth...Brush them EVERYDAY!
Dr. Palmer (our family dentist) would be so proud. Not only have we started brushing McGregor's teeth but McGregor actually likes having them brushed and will always remind us if we forget. Every night after bath time, Mac pulls his little stool up to the sink, opens the medicine cabinet door, pulls the toothpaste out and hands it to Ryan or myself...waiting to have his teeth brushed! He quite enjoys the process!

The azaleas are in bloom...
When I was a little girl, my mother would dress my sisters and me in some darling spring attire and drive us to our Mema's
house to take pictures in her famous azaleas bushes when in bloom...so Mema and mom...this first picture post is a tribute to you. As you might be able to tell, the azaleas are in bloom both hither and yon--at our house and my moms...I am quite pleased because I was told that azaleas would not grow in the non-acidic soil we have here in Bryan, TX. However, despite discouraging remarks...our plants have produced, our soil has succeeded and I was not going to miss out on capturing the lovely blooms with my lovely child nestled in the middle of all the beautiful foliage! I couldn't choose just one...narrowing it down from the literal 20 was most difficult...so you get to pick your favorite.

What has the world come to?
I never thought I would see the day (nor did you)...but after many months of subtle innuendos and much harassing from friends and family alike...I have succumbed to peer pressure and have created a blog so that everyone can now see and keep up with our world. I'm flattered that anyone reading this is interested in how we spend our days...digging in the dirt, taking wagon rides around the neighborhood, playing with bubbles and such. I hope you all enjoy seeing little Mac grow up and that you are all FINALLY satisfied. I am personally pleased with the blog address...kudos to Ella Marie Harr Payne for her creative insight! A word of caution however...I have NO idea what I am doing because of my technological deficiencies. I still have not figured out how to post a picture. (I can already feel my shoulders and my back tightening up as I have spent time trying to understand this thing called a blog...I know...I'm living in the stone age!)
